Chocolate Milk Part 1
(originally posted September 2010)
First of all, I’m a chocolate milk fanatic. If you ask me what chocolate milk I’ve drank, I’ve probably already drank it.
So… While on the way to go see Twilight: Eclipse today (it was much better than I thought it’d be) we stopped to get some drinks. I got chocolate milk, of course, and I got this bright idea to make a blog post about me rating different chocolate milk drinks out there. So I’ll keep it simple and rate them from 1 to 5, with 5 being the best. Let’s get started!
Nesquik. 2/5
Nesquik. Probably one of the most famous brands of chocolate milk. However, it’s one of my least favorites. My biggest problem is that I can feel the powder in the drink, and at the bottom of the container you can even see the powder that didn’t dissolve all the way. It’s gross and lazy. I never buy Nesquik unless I have no other choice.
Darigold. 3/5
Darigold chocolate milk is pretty good. It’s not great, but not bad. It tastes very chocolatey and it’s very smooth. Now, I might be going kinda extreme here but I really don’t like the mascot. The cow with the pink mohawk that looks like it goes around splashing chocolate milk on people… not cool. If they redesigned the package then I’ll even bump it up to 4/5. (Bonus: The first time I ever had this brand of chocolate milk was in Seaside, Oregon with my cousin CJ. We were young back then and thought it was the best thing ever)
Edaleen Dairy. 0/5
Edaleen Dairy.. it’s so bad that I couldn’t even find a picture of it. Basically, it’s the brand of chocolate milk they sell at 7-11. It tastes like 93% water and 7% chocolate milk. It’s very bad. I would seriously rather just drink a glass of nothing than buy this garbage.
Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Cream. 5/5
Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Cream. Wow. This might be my favorite drink ever. I seriously consumed over 10 of these in the past week. They are so delicious and wonderful. Perfectly smooth and just the right amount of cookies and cream taste, especially when they’re ice cold. Now, the only problem I have is that they only come in 12oz bottles, so I have to purchase several copies in order to fulfill my craving. Other than that.. Perfection.
Alpenrose. ?/?
Alpenrose chocolate milk. What I can I say about it? Nothing, because I’ve never tasted it.The reason being that it costs almost $5 just for a half gallon! I see it at Target all the time but I can never afford to spend that much on a drink. So, for now it will remain mysterious, uncharted territory.
Well, that’s all for now. I still have many more to review, but I think I’ll need to start taking my own pictures because apparently people don’t like taking pictures of chocolate milk bottles and posting them online for me to find and use in my blog.
